This course comprises 4 units. The first unit covers kinematic relationships, angular motion and momentum, rotational dynamics, gravitation, stellar physics, general relativity and space-time. The second unit covers an introduction to quantum theory, wave particle duality, magnetic fields and particles from space, simple harmonic motion, waves, interference, division of amplitude, division of wavefront and polarisation. The third unit covers electric field and force, electric potential, motion in an electric field, magnetic fields, capacitors, inductors and electromagnetic radiation. The fourth unit covers investigations in Physics including initial planning, using equipment, recording, measuring and presenting data, evaluating findings and the scientific report.
NOTE: A new version of this study guide will be produced in August 2019 to incorporate SQA updates for 2019-20 and will replace this publication.
